Ingredients:

1 pound of beans
1 pound of rice
1 onion
1 pound of beef (or pork ribs)
3 garlic cloves, chopped
1 grated coconut
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon oregano
7 cups of water
½ teaspoon pepper

Procedure:

Boil beans until tender (you can leave them on water overnight and that will make the boiling faster, maybe ½ hour will be enough) with the garlic and the beef and the onion.
Once they are tender, add the salt, the cumin and the oregano.

Press the grated coconut to get the milk, add it to the beans and let boil 5 more minutes.
Add the rice and let it cook until all the water is absorbed.  Add more if is necessary.
After it is tender, let it stay in the covered pot for 5 minutes before serving it.
Serve it hot.  Delicious!
