Dessert from Nicaragua: Coyolitos

Recipe of Coyolitos

Ingredients:

4 bananas
2 ½ cups of milk
4 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups of sugar

Procedure:

Peel the bananas and cut them lengthwise in 4 parts, then in halves, makes 8 parts each banana.  Put them in a saucepan.  Add the milk, and boil this for some minutes, until you see the bananas tender.  Put in the sugar, vanilla and the cinnamon and boil this two more minutes.  Put this on a baking dish and take it to a medium hot oven for 30 minutes, until they are brown on top.

Delicious with a white wine!   Enjoy it!
