Dessert of Guatemala: Guatemalan Chocolate Éclair
Recipe of chocolate Éclair
4 cups of mashed graham crackers (or Maria crackers)
¼ cup f vegetal butter
1 package of instant vanilla pudding (serving 8)
4 cups of milk
2 cups whipped cream
1 cup chocolate to be melted
strawberries for ornament or cherries
Prepare the vanilla pudding with the 4 cups of milk. Let it cool a little bit. Meanwhile mash the crackers and butter. In the dessert dish put the crackers as a base, pushing them hard as to make a hard crust.
Add to the vanilla pudding one cup of whipped cream and mix all thoroughly, then spread a layer over the crackers. Again another layer of crackers, this time letting them over the pudding softly, never pushing hard! Alternate layers, and the last layer must be a crackers layer. Over this layer, spread the other cup of whipped cream, place strawberries or cherries over that and cover the fruit with the melted chocolate.
Let it rest for at least twelve hours, or more. Great for tomorrow dinner!
